Monday - Friday

The dailies continue....when I can fit them in. They don't always actually happen on the very day, sometimes a day later, depending on how life intervenes. That bothers me, but I remind myself not to get to rigid about things and to allow life to unfold of its own accord. The point is to commemorate the day, in a way....to notice it, to make note of it....to leave a trace.

Tomorrow is another work day for me at the library, although it is Saturday, but then Sunday and Monday are my weekend. I hope you all have a fine weekend and I'll see you early in the week....until then, take care and enjoy!

    1. Thanks Erin....maybe that one is a little more contained somehow and not filled with such randomness as they others. Glad you like it!!

  3. Your dailies are wonderful! Black and white, with a touch of red especially, is one of my all time favorite color combos. There's something about July 23's drawing that speaks to me. Thank you for sharing these!

    1. Penny...I guess I'm always so aware of the passage of time and how it slips through our fingers. Maybe the drawings are a way of slowing it down....and leaving a trace does describe the impulse. So glad you find it meaningful! Thanks for your kind words!

  7. As always - spontaneous and delicious. It was strange to read 'to leave a trace' ......... I chose my blogspot name with just that feeling in mind. Not just on a personal sense of leaving my mark or evidence of my having been, but in a larger sense that we as humans, have found ways to make our marks and leave a very definite trace of our existence by way of writing and drawing. And oh gosh, some of us do that so magnificently.

    1. Susan, I've always loved the name, Tracemarks, that you've given your blog....I knew we were kindred spirits when I first saw it. And yes, "the trace" is a fascination for me on all the levels you mention!
