Interrupted By Winter

Wasn't I just talking in my last post about my eager anticipation of spring?  Seems there has been a bit of winter interruptus to my imaginings...

One of these days, I'll be out there pulling those plants up by their roots, but not for awhile! In the meantime, I have a new piece in my shop over at MissouriBendStudio that has taken me off on a new tangent and I'm developing a new series of tiny works inspired by this piece, Navigation Chart.

I won't say much about this new series, as it will no doubt jinx my process of discovery, but it's that round sewn bit in the middle that got me thinking and off on a new tangent....details to follow next week I hope.  I'm still working some things out, but I'm kind of excited about the possibilities in this new tiny series!

If you've missed the dailies since my last post, here they are! Details and other views over at MissouriBendMusings...

Hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks so much for your good cheer, inspiration and support!

  1. Hi Patti - nature often has a way of making sure we don't get ahead of ourselves doesn't it? What lovely snow, but no digging the garden as you say. We are sweltering down south ( over 100) and back home is flooded again. Love the dailies....

    1. Fiona....oh, so sorry to hear of flooding issues yet again! Do hope it all subsides soon....is it as serious as last time? In terms of heat (and cold), isn't it amazing how we forget from year to year what it is like to be hot or cold....sweltering...hmmm, it seems a foreign notion at the moment to me! Stay cool...this too shall pass!

  2. What a difference a day makes. We had snow too - and now it's already melted away! It was nice to have the snowscape view for a time, however brief...poor plants, pushing out premature buds and then covered in ice again!

    1. Gabriella....yes, the poor plants....can hardly blame them for being so confused!! Another storm now, which for us is rain, but much snow further north....it ain't over yet, as they say!
      Enjoy the ride!
